Post-war missile count

Post-war information emerged on Iraq's missile arsenal. A report by the U.S. Army has concluded that Iraq's missiles had little impact on coalition forces during the war. According to Jane's Intelligence Review, U.S. and British intelligence officers have been surprised to find no Scud/Al Hussein missiles in Iraq, and although U.S. and British sources at the start of the war reported that Scuds were fired at Kuwait, it is now known that such reports were false. The Army report found that the only missiles launched during the war were three Al Samoud IIs, ten Ababil-100s, four FROG-7s and one missile that was unidentified. The report estimated that 76 percent of Iraq's missile launchers were destroyed by the U.S.-led coalition.
