Hints on categories This web site consists of document files and database files. The document files contain information published by the United Nations, national governments, the Wisconsin Project and other sources. The database files contain information about Iraqi entities linked to weapon programs and about Iraq's foreign suppliers. To perform keyword searches of these files, you must first choose a search category. Here are some hints on these categories: All of Iraq Watch Website (excluding database): Searches all of the document files. A prompt (visible below the results of the document search) invites the user to carry out the same search within the databases. Government Documents (US and Foreign): Searches all U.S. government documents, including those of the CIA, the Departments of Defense and State, the White House and Congress, as well as foreign government documents. Supplier Database Table: Searches our database of firms and persons known to have supplied Iraq. One can search by naming the exporting country, by naming a company, or by naming an individual. One can also specify a program (nuclear, missile, chemical, biological or military) or specify key words. Iraqi Entity Database Table: Searches our database of Iraqi entities and persons involved in Iraq's weapon programs. Searches can be by entity name, by program (nuclear, missile, chemical, biological or military) or by keyword. Both Database Tables: Searches both the supplier and Iraqi entity databases. It reveals links between the activities of Iraqi entities and their foreign suppliers. Profiles/Updates: Searches updates on Iraq's weapon programs and related political developments. Also searches profiles of Iraq's weapon programs. Controlled Items: Searches the U.N. "trigger list" of items controlled for export to Iraq.
