IRAQI MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

They pirated articles from newspapers and internet with all their printing and language mistakes

Blair’s dossier and Powell’s report were stolen from academic research dates back to 12 years

British Prime Minister Tony Blair submitted, several weeks ago, a dossier saying that it contained what he called all Iraq’s (defiance and deception) on weapons of mass destruction (WMD), and some people believed him. several days ago, US Secretary of State Colin Powell used a great part of the British dossier describing it as excellent.

Blair’s dossier, which Powell depended on, was but a great scandal for it was pirated 12 years ago from an American student of Arab origin, while British government said “we did not claim that the only resource of Blair’s dossier was intelligence” ,despite the government’s allegations at first that the dossier was the latest intelligent information.

British Premier’s bureau admitted that great parts of the dossier on Iraq’s WMD ,were copied from articles written by a post graduate student in California called Ibrahim Al-Mara’ashi.

An expert commented as saying, “The government tries to find pretexts to launch the aggression. But after what we have seen now, how can we believe anything said by the government ?”.

A number of academics said that they discovered that great parts of the dossier were literally copied from the Middle East Review of International Affairs and the Gens International Review with all their language and printing mistakes.

Defense Minister in the shadow government Bernard Jinkins said that the Conservative Party is too concerned about the dossier and that the government failed to justify the dossier’s claims.

He pointed out that Blair and Powell quoted parts as a basis for a possible aggression.

Meanwhile, student Ibrahim Mara’shi said that he was shocked when he knew that British government copied parts of his article, which a spokesman for the government said that the dossier was prepared by a number of officials who depended on various resources including intelligence ones.
