IRAQI MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS
1- IAEA Inspection Team: Group I: It set out from Al-Qanat Hotel at 8:30a.m. consisting of (4) inspectors, headed by the English inspector (Nil Frank). It arrived at Saddam & AlYarmouk State Companies of the MIC. In the first site, it removed the air sampling device which was placed in there on February 12th 2003, and then it set the device at Al-Yarmouk State Company for recording air samples. The group toured all the factories of Al-Yarmouk Company and got acquainted with the activities of each factory and inquired about the new programmed equipment (CNC). The inspection lasted for (2) hours, then the group returned to the Hotel. Group II: It set out from Al-Qanat Hotel at 8:30a.m. consisting of (3) inspectors, headed by the American inspector (Brice). It arrived at the Liquid Nitrogen Factory of Ibn-Sina State Company / MIC. The group removed the air sampling device which it was placed earlier. The visit lasted for half an hour, then the group went back to the Hotel. Group III: A helicopter took off from Al-Rasheed airport at 10:00 a.m. with (2) inspectors on board, headed by the Japanese inspector (Takee ba). The group made the radiological surveys for the following sites: Al-Tuatha site, Al-Wehda area, Saddam International Airport, al-Radwanya area, Al-Zaidan area Khandary, Al-Madaa’n, Al-Yousfiya, Al-Amar Factory of Al-faluja, Saddam Company in Al-Amyria, desert areas in Al-Faluja city. The surveying process lasted for (2) hours, then the group returned to Al-Rasheed Airport. Group IV: It set out from Al-Qanat hotel at 12:15 p.m. consisting of (8) inspectors, headed by the English inspector (Kholfeild). The group arrived at Al-Ramady Electricity Station and made the radiological survey for the grounds of the areas surrounding the site to trace the electricity cables. Then, the group visited the seeds silo in Al-Ramadi and checked all its floors and departments. The group also visited Al-Anbar University / College of Engineering and acquainted themselves with the college labs; in addition, the inspectors visited the primary school that belongs to the University . The visit lasted for (3) hours, then the group went back to the Hotel. 2- UNMOVIC Inspection team (Chemical): The team set out from Al-Qanat Hotel at 9:00 a.m. consisting of (7) inspectors, headed by the Austrian inspector (Harold). The team arrived at the insecticide factory of Al-Tareq State Company/ MIC. It checked the equipment in the opened area and the equipment in the storages using a mineral identification device (portable). The inspection lasted for (2) hours then, the team went back to the Hotel. 3- UNMOVIC Inspection Team (Biological): Group I: It set out from Al-Qanat Hotel at 8:30 a.m. consisting of (7) inspectors, headed by the English inspector (Yan). It visited Dyala Company for Food and Dates Packing (Private Sector) and the Consultation Clinic for Chest and Aspiratory Diseases. The group toured all the Company’s facilities as the inspectors inquired about the production type, the total number of laborers and the Company’s relationship with Al-Muqdadia Dairy Company. At the clinic, the group met with the Director and inquired about the number of tuberculosis infection diseases, means of diagnoses and whether there are diagnoses tools for this disease. The inspection lasted for three hours, and then the group returned to the Hotel. Group II: It set out from Al-Qanat Hotel at 8:30 a.m. consisting of (6) inspectors, headed by the Austrian inspector (Aras). The group arrived at Baquaba Company for Manufacturing and Packing Food and Dates.It met with the Director and inquired about Company’s establishing date, it’s subsidiary, its structure, number of employees & the number of those who have higher degrees among them, the production nature, the marketing body, its raw material sources and the current examination carried out in its lab. Then, the group visited Dyala University / College of Science and met with the College Dean, as they inquired about its activities, number of those who have higher degrees , the number of the staff, the number of the students, whether there is higher education studies and the kind of classes which are taught. The inspection lasted for 2 hours , and then the group went back to the Hotel. 4- UNMOVIC Inspection Team (Missiles): Group I: It set out from Al-Qanat Hotel at 8:25 a.m. consisting of (2) inspectors, headed by the American inspector (Kneth). The group arrived at Al-Mamoun Factory of Al-Rasheed State Company/ MIC. It met with the site Director , placing stickers on the forming tanks that were repaired. The group also visited the building that has the tanks and placed the stickers on them. The inspection lasted for (3) hours, then the group returned to the Hotel. Group II: It set out from Al-Qanat Hotel at 8:30 a.m. consisting of (7) inspectors, headed by the English inspector (Poll). The group visited the technical battalion, Al-Ishaqi site and Al-Dijail sits which belong to the MD. The purpose of the visits was to place stickers on Al-Soumoud missiles. The inspection lasted for (5) hours, then the group returned to the Hotel. Group III: At 8:45 a.m. a helicopter took off from Al-Rasheed Airport with (5) inspectors on board, headed by the Romanian inspector (Michael). The group at Al-Kindi State Company of the MIC in Mosul. The group held a meeting with the Company’s officials asking whether the site's name was changed from an installation to a company, the examination that were carried out on Al-Soumoud & Ababeel missile systems and the types of valves that were manufactured. Then the group visited the building where Al-Roaland missile is assembled & dismantled and also visited the fuel examination building. The inspection lasted for (3) hours then the grouop went back to Al-Rasheed Airport. Group IV: It set out from Al-Qanat Hotel at 8:30 a.m. consisting of (4) inspectors, headed by the Bangladeshi inspector (Mohammad Saif AlDeen). The group arrived at Ibn Al-Haytham Factory of Al-Karamma State Company/ MIC, 10km north of Baghdad. The group placed stickers on missiles engines. The visit lasted for (9) hours, then the group went back to the Hotel.
