The rapprochement, and especially Iraq's assurances concerning respect for Kuwait's independence, sovereignty and security, and the guarantee of its territorial integrity, are welcome. However, that doesn't alter the fact that we expect Iraq to accept the immediate return of inspectors in the conditions laid down by the Security Council.
