Belarusian Delegation Visits Iraq

On October 14-16, the Belarusian delegation headed by Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, Chair of the Belarusian section of the Belarus-Iraq committee on trade-economic co-operation Nikolai Ivanchenko is visiting Iraq. The delegation also includes Chair of the Society of the Belarus-Iraq Friendship Victor Shevtsov and Deputy Head of the Division of Africa of the Department of Asia and Africa of the Belarusian MFA Andrey Dashutin.

The program of the stay of the Belarusian delegation stipulates meetings with Chair of the Iraqi section of the Belarus-Iraq committee on trade-economic co-operation, Finance Minister Hikmat Al-Azavi, the Iraqi ministers of Industry, Agriculture and Healthcare. Expanded bilateral trade-economic co-operation will be discussed during the meetings.

Along with MPs from other states, Iraq is being visited by Deputy Chair of the Permanent committee on international affairs of the Lower House of the Belarusian Parliament Sergey Kostyan. Mr. Kostyan partakes in the monitoring of the referendum on the expansion of the presidential tenure in Iraq.
